Candle Care
~ Candle care is essential for your candles to last longer, allowing for a more controlled flame and less smoke.
~ Do not light candles under loose hanging fabrics. Keep candles at least 12 inches away from anything flammable, such as curtains, decorations and papers. Place canister or glass vessel on a heat-resistant surface.
~ As a good rule of thumb, it is best to burn your candle for 2-3 hours at a time. This will maximize the candle's life and help create a full melt pool of wax. Consider your room's surface area and height. Larger rooms require larger candles.
~ Recycle your candle container. Clean the remaining wax with hot water and use the glass or tin container as you please.
~ B&CK scented candles will burn cleanly and safely. Always keep candles within sight and never leave them unattended.
~ Put out the candle before leaving the room and keep it out of reach from children and pets.
~ Remember, the even burn toppers will be hot. Remove after the metal has had time to cool.
A Simple Candle Hack for an Even Burn
If you do not own a heat-resistant candle topper, then try this inexpensive and effective method to burn your scented candles evenly. This can be achieved by using a common kitchen product, aluminum foil.
Place a square piece of quality foil over the top of your scented canister or glass vessel. Make sure it will cover all the way around. Fold the square foil twice and cut a straight tip from the center fold point. Unfold the foil and center it on the top of your canister or glass vessel. Secure the foil with a thin piece of wire (if needed) and light your candle. Remove once the soy wax has melted evenly.
Be sure to place the foil cover over your scented candle at the early stage of lighting. This will not only help the candle to burn more evenly but will prolong the life of your scented candle!
Always keep your candles within sight and away from children, pets and hanging fabrics.

Trim the Wick Regularly
~ Trimming the wick of your candle to 1/4 inch before each use prevents smoking, soot buildup, and ensures a clean, even burn.
~ This simple step promotes a longer-lasting candle and enhances the fragrance throw.
Avoid Drafts and Overburning
~ Place your candles away from drafts to prevent uneven burning and potential safety hazards.
~ As a general rule of thumb, avoid burning candles for more than 3 hours at a time to maintain their quality and prevent tunneling.
Proper Extinguishing Techniques
~ Always extinguish your candle by using a snuffer or gently blowing it out to prevent hot wax splatter.
~Avoid using water to put out the flame, as this can damage the candle and affect its future burns.
~ Always allow the candle to cool completely before relighting.
